Oppo’s Free Deliveries to Care Homes
Wonderful home-grown healthy ice cream brand, Oppo is taking steps to lift the spirits of those most at risk – older people, especially those in care homes.
We all know relatives and neighbours who are now isolated without being allowed to see oved ones. Oppo are delivering their delicious and healthy ice cream free to care homes up and down the country over the next few weeks to provide a healthy surprise and to lift people’s spirits.
The story of Oppo is fascinating. In 2011, Two brothers Charlie and Harry started the Oppo dream from breaking the record for the longest distance travelled by kite power on land. They had about 2 hours experience between them. 1000 km later, they made it but they also had discovered on their journey the foraged fruit and coconuts that they had enjoyed on their way, tasted amazing and were incredibly nutritious without loads of sugar or additives. On their return, Charlie headed into the kitchen (for about 2 years) with the goal to make healthy ice cream.
Oppo was launched in Waitrose in 2014. In 2016, 140,000 people had tasted Oppo, including Andy Murray who invested in their ice cream dream. They won their first Great Taste Award. The rest they say is ice cream history!
Make sure you include Oppo in your weekly shops. It can be bought from Waitrose, Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Amazon to name a few.
